Becky Brown

Becky is First Cal's Children's Director. She has worked with children for over 25 years as a former educator and school administrator in Lincoln and Ouachita Parish school systems. Becky holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from LaTech University. She is so excited that the Lord led her to the Children's Department, and cannot wait to see First Cal Kids grow.

Becky is a wife to Andy, a First Cal deacon. She is mom to Callie and Drew. Callie can be found on Sunday mornings serving coffee at First Cal. Drew can be found anywhere outdoors enjoying God's creation. The entire Brown family loves to spend their time together on lake days, fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling.

Becky would love for you to stop by the Children's Department to meet your family and get your kidoos plugged into a Sunday Grow Group or Wednesday night activity! 

A. J. has been a member of First Cal since 2015 and began serving as our Minister to Students in the summer of 2019. He provides leadership to our student ministry team and loves to teach teenagers about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

A. J. holds a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Physical Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He was active in the BCM during his time in college and served as the Assistant Student Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church from 2011-2013. 

A. J. married Mallarie in July 2012. They served as missionaries for the International Mission Board in Peru from the summer of 2014 to the summer of 2015 before having their two children Mozzie and Vivy.  Mallarie provides leadership to our girl’s ministry at First Cal and helps keeps our student ministry organized. 

AJ would love to see you on Wednesday night’s and Sunday’s. He is a self-proclaimed ping pong master and dead-eye shooter on the basketball court. Come visit First Cal and spend some time with A. J.
